Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, the Chairperson of the Carnival Calabar and a Promoter of African Cuisine will attempt to reignite the lingering rivalry between the West African nations of Nigeria and Ghana over which of them cooks the best jollof rice delicacy as she hosts this year’s Jollof Rice Competition at Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos coming up from Sunday 9th to Tuesday 11th September 2018.
The Cross River State-born senator is expected to be the Special Guest at the sideshow which will also entered by The Gambia, another West African country.
At the expo, the National Council of Arts and Culture (NCAC) is expected to present the Nigeria Food Culture during the NigerianDay at the Akwaaba Travel Market.
